SEEL Paragraph
- 1 - First Passage - What is Slaves trade

- 3 - Third Passage - life as a slave
The Atlantic trade Triangle was a terrible system which includes buying and
selling of slaves. This is because Europeans would sail from Europe to sell
guns to the African Kings and in return they would buy slaves.
Slaves like children, woman, men would be taken away from their homes.
It wasn’t fair because they had been forced to do what they are told and
not shown or treated with dignity. This part of the trade triangle was called the
First Passage. Next the purchased Africans were put on Slave Ship that
sailed to the Caribbean and America. This was a brutal part of their journey.

The Middle Passage was from Africa to America. During the journey Africans
are been treated badly because they were now treated like animals. For
example they would lay down in rows and are chained together. The sailors
and traders would take groups of African men to the deck to make them sing
and dance, so they would be humiliated, shamed and feel they are nothing.
Woman would be sexual abused some of the sailors. Some Africans would
commit suicide because they did not to live the rest of their lives this way. As
the journey continues to America, more and more Africans would die and
there bodies would be thrown overboard. Once they reached their destination,
they were taken to be sold at auctions.

The First Slaves to arrived in America was at Charlestown. Once sold a life of
hardship awaited them because now they belonged to someone like an
animal. The slaves then go to auction, that’s when they are sold and taken
away by their owner. For example their owner can be a businessman or normal
people. For English people slaves were useful to them because some slaves
would be cleaner or picking cotton and tobacco. Slaves that work on the cotton
field would be whipped if they are working slowly, they would be whipped so
badly that you can see the marks on their back. Other slaves like cleaner would
have a owner who owns a Mansion would not allow slaves to sleep in the
Mansion but they would sleep in a crowded house, that is full of people. There
wouldn’t be enough space for them to sleep or have some privacy.

Build a Boat
In wood, we had to build a boat. This slideshow is all about the step by step process to finishing my boat.
Gantt Chart
This is a Gantt Chart, we use Gantt Chart to record our work. For example, in a workshop, your boss, gave you an assignment and there is a date you had to finish it by. Using the Gantt Chart will help you break down the structure of your project. So you will know how much time you will spend on that work.

How Has Technology Changed the way we do things.
Technology has changed many jobs, tasks and everyday activities we do. This is because the technology has improved and allowed us to do things differently. For example, back in the days, people ride horse to get everywhere but in our times we use cars, airplanes, motorbikes, bikes to travel around. Another example is music, we can listen to music on an app called Youtube and then in the olden days, they use a record player to listen to music. The last example is texting, back in the days people write letters but now we can send text on our phone in a second. As we all know technology has changed a lot over time. These 3 examples are just a few ways of how Technology has changed the way we do things.
This presentation will show you how Technology has changed over time.
Harriet Tubman and The Underground Railroad
In Social Studies we are learning about Slavery. On this Presentation is about Harriet Tubman the famous conductor of the Underground Railroad.
Term 1 Reflection
Last term I have been doing well in Social Studies writing SEEL paragraph and sitting our class test at the end of the term which I did pretty well. Also Science test. I have also taken Esol this year with Ms. Briggs, learning about different sentences structure. What I could have done better in ESOL is to ask question if I'm not sure of something and not be shy. What will I do next time in all of my subjects, is ask questions and try my best.
Palaeolithic Age vs Neolithic Age
In Social Studies we had to choose either to do a poster on Paleolithic age (Old) or Neolithic age (New). The difference in their food resources. Paleolithic are Hunters and Gatherers, they store what they can carry. The Neolithic grew Crops like corn, wheat, beans and they could store extra food. Another different thing about Paleolithic age and Neolithic age. The Paleolithic uses tools like Chipped Stones, Neolithic uses tools likes polished Stones and sharp tools from grinding. On my poster I have chosen Paleolithic age (Old).
