Term 4 Goals & Action Items

What are my goals for the next 3 weeks?

My goal this term is to make a timetable schedule for my assessment that I need to finish and the once that are coming up. I am going to study every day after school to be prepared for my external exams. My main goal at the moment will be getting my 10 credits to pass level one and working towards my 80 credits.

What are my action items for this week? (steps I am going to take towards achieving my goals)

I'm gonna start creating a timetable to get everything organized for this term. I will study for 2-3 hours every day at home. I am going to all my subject teacher and ask for resubmission to try to get my 10 credits.

How am I going to help others to accomplish their goals? 

I am going to encourage and remind them daily about their goals by telling them in person or texting them and making sure they don't go off track on the goal they need to accomplish.

Trip to Willow bank Wildlife Reserve

Willow bank Wildlife Reserve 

Last week Tuesday, my class went on a trip to Willow bank Wildlife Reserve for our level 1 assignment. The aim of this was to gather information about Kea one of New Zealand native birds.

As we arrived at Willow bank, we were split into groups with a student teacher. My group decided to go to check out the farm area. During that time on the farm, we saw donkeys, cows, ram, chicken, sheep, turtles, tortoises, peacock, different types of goldfish, and etc.

Then the next part of the trip was the zoo where we found animals that we don't normally think we could see in a wildlife reserve here in New Zealand. For instance, wallaby (Australia), lemurs (Madagascar), Iguana, peacock, tortoises, eels and many more. 

After looking around it was our journey to the Birds Reserve area where Rachael (bird keeper) came in and talked to us about Kea behaviour, and habitat.

Rachael (bird keeper) talked about how Kea breed, survive, their hierarchy, behaviour, habitat, and many more.  One thing that interested me was that Kea has a hierarchy in their pack.
 Another highlight was when a Kea grab Ofa's (friend of mine) spray from her side packet. Then flow away. The Kea tried opening it but ended up leaving it to float in the water.

Kea unexpected landed Raven. 

I had a great time in Willow bank and learned more than I could imagine. From how birds behave to how they breed. I would definitely come back with my family and friends. I had fun interacting with New Zealand native birds and learning more about them.

Opinions:

I find the book interesting and lots of unexpected languages in the text that surprised me. I personally think that Christopher is a brave and clever young boy because he's not afraid to take risks. This is the quality I admire about Christopher.  

Evidence:
There is one specific cruse language that I've heard in some few chapters like the f word.

In the text, Christopher said 'So I told myself I would not mess with things in his room. I would move them and then I would move them back' without his Father knowing.

My Goal This Year:

Throughout the year I am setting goals for myself. Firstly, I want to improve my writing by reading each night before going to bed. Secondly, Finishing my work on time. Most importantly is to ask question when I'm unsure of something. One of my main goals is to balance sports and studies.
